Believe it or not, 2021 is mere weeks away from being over and a new year with new surprises will begin. With that being said, now is as good a time as any to discuss your financing options. If you’re looking to change your current financial institution, consider looking into Telcoe Federal Credit Union, and let me tell you why.

Thinking about all the assets and areas of life that need to be covered financially is known to cause major headaches and for the lucky few, premature gray hairs. Taking out loans is especially painful, and with the addition of steep interest rates and warranties, you might as well assume you’ll be owing money forever. However, it doesn’t have to be like this.

Tony Birk.

I have been going to Telcoe for about three years now, and during this time I have received interest rates and benefits like no other place. From car loans to life insurance, loan officer Tony Birk always finds me the best options.

“We will do anything from planes, trains to automobiles — if it’s something that you have the need for a loan, we will do whatever we can to make it work. It may not be the common loan type that somebody’s looking for but there’s always a way to make it happen. Telcoe is outside of the standard black and white, we can be creative. If you need it, we can find a way to make it happen,” Tony says. “We offer the same products that you would find at a bank. We do checking accounts, savings accounts and money market accounts. We also offer retirement services and we’re partnered with different auto insurance and home insurance companies. We’re really a one-stop-shop.”

Federal Credit Unions don’t get enough credit (see what I did there?) for the services they provide. There’s no need to go to five different places for services when anything and everything can be done at Telcoe. The best part is that having access to all of these services is easy.

“We have what’s called select employer groups with places like AT&T, Blue Cross, Children’s Hospital and more that automatically qualifies somebody for membership, but we are also partnered with nonprofit organizations like the Pulaski County Humane Society, Child Protective Services and Arkansas Literacy Council where new clients can do a one-time donation to automatically qualify for membership in case they don’t work with our select employer groups. So we can make it happen for anyone to join our membership,” Tony explains. “Each year, we give the donations to the organizations. This past week, actually, we presented our checks to Arkansas Child Protective Services, as well as a Pulaski County Humane Society for the donations that we received this year. It’s a great way of just giving back.”

Being on the move as much as I am, it can be difficult to find the time to take care of personal matters. Needless to say, I appreciate efficiency, and Telcoe delivers every single time.

“The membership process is easy and most of it can be done online. If you want to join in person, the process only takes five to ten minutes,” Tony says.

I’ve come to realize that not many people know the difference between a credit union and a bank, and I think it’s important to understand all available options to be able to choose what works best for you.

“The most asked question is probably, ‘Why go to a credit union?’ My response would be that we are competitive and we offer the same, if not more, services, that you would receive at large banks or other places of that nature. Telcoe Federal Credit Union is member-owned, so the money is here.” Tony says. “Not to mention that our one-on-one customer service is unlike any other. You are provided a higher level of customer service because you’re not a customer, you’re a member. We try our best to treat everybody as if they are family.”

Every time I talk to Tony about different deals I’m interested in or plans of action that I should be taking, I leave feeling so knowledgeable about what I’m doing with my money and where it’s going. Not only that, he takes the time to provide me with the best. You’re never just another customer passing through. Tony and his colleagues are there to assist you every step of the way.

“In this day and age, everybody is competitive. We strive to have the lowest rates possible and we will do our best with our research. If I can’t save you on one thing, maybe I can save you somewhere else. Telcoe has done this for around 72 years, and it’s just all about that customer service,” Tony shares.

My experience with Telcoe has been nothing short of a five-star rating. My needs are taken care of, I’m saving money and I’m valued. Contact Tony Birk or any of the other dedicated team members at Telcoe Federal Credit Union to ask about their membership.
