For this week’s Thirsty Thursday, we trimmed it down and got healthy with nutrition shake hot-spot, Heights Nutrition.

Heights Nutrition, located on 5608 R Street in Little Rock, is a three-year-old nutrition bar owned and operated by PJ Bonner and Emilia Marinova.

“I got into this business to be a part of the community and pursue entrepreneurship,” says Bonner. “I also really enjoy helping people, and this gave us the opportunity to do both.”

The Heights Nutrition menu is jam-packed with numerous varieties of two main items: low-calorie protein shakes and energy-boosting teas.

“Our shakes are high protein, low carb, low sugar and low fat,” says Bonner. “And we don’t use any extra sugars.”

Depending on individual objectives, the shakes can either act as a meal replacement or post-workout snack.

Heights Nutrition, an extension of Herbalife Nutrition, utilizes three different types of Herbalife protein in its shake menu.

“We have veggie protein, whey protein and soy isolate protein powders that customers can choose from,” Bonner says. Each protein also ranges in flavors, from classic vanilla to a creamy dulce de leche.

When searching for your shake-of-choice when visiting Heights Nutrition, Bonner suggests trying his personal and customer favorite, the White Chocolate Chip Three Musketeers shake.

The teas, which pack a flavorful kick, are composed of black tea bases and Herbalife Liftoff energy supplements.

“The teas help with metabolism-boosting and help burn calories,” Bonner says. “We add B vitamins for healthy energy with no crash and aloe to sweeten instead of sugar.”

Not to mention, all teas are only five calories each.

For a first-time tea suggestion, Bonner suggests trying the flavorful Very Berry tea.

In addition to owning Heights Nutrition, Bonner and Marinova own Hornet Nutrition in Maumelle, The Nutrition Spot in Chenal, and the newly-opened Hillcrest Nutrition.

Although all locations range in hours, Heights Nutrition is open seven days a week from 7 a.m to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekend hours vary slightly.
