PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT:

My greatest accomplishment is my family. Everything else is material and transient; my daughters are eternal. I take great pride and responsibility in ensuring that they know, love, and believe in Jesus Christ.

REMEMBER ME FOR:

Leaving a legacy for my girls. Accomplishments and money are things that will be remembered only occasionally; I want to leave something indelible for my children that permeates the fabric of their being and defines generations to come.

MOST ADMIRABLE QUALITY IN WOMEN:

I admire women who consistently encourage other women—not just the women in their circle, but all women.

PERSON YOU MOST ADMIRE:

My husband for always putting us first. Despite the stress of everyday life, he is always present when he’s with us. He makes thoughtful decisions for our family and his work ethic and demand for excellence is readily apparent in all he does.

ADVICE TO OTHERS:

Work harder. Unequal access to resources, capital and education can be overcome by working harder than people with access to those things. They may have more manpower, money, connections and intelligence, but you can always outwork them.

SURPRISING FACT:

After completing the 1.2 mile swim in Ironman 70.3 Puerto Rico, I saw my baby being held by a friend on the sidelines.  Knowing it would be hours with 69.1 miles to go before I would see her again, I stopped and breastfeed her on the course before finishing the triathlon.

Also, I have been scuba diving with sharks since I was a teenager. One of my favorite dives was with Great White sharks in Gansbaai, South Africa.

TALENT YOU WISH YOU HAD:

Through my non-profit, The Lancaster Animal Project, we have not only rescued but spayed and neutered hundreds of animals. I wish I had the ability to clearly impress upon people the importance of animal sterilization as well as the proper treatment of animals.
