BEST PART OF YOUR DAY:

Drinking early morning coffee on my deck while the sun rises over the Arkansas River and bluffs. It’s my time to be grateful and get my thoughts in order so that I can give my best to my family and my law practice.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT:

I don’t know if I can claim my daughter as an “accomplishment,” but she is definitely the part of my life of which I am so very proud. She is strong, talented, beautiful and caring.

SURPRISING FACT:

My heart is easily hurt. A client once told me that I am a pitbull, but I am also kind. I liked that description. I fight hard for what is right, but I am also extremely sensitive and other people’s feelings truly impact me.

FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB:

I share an office with my husband, and I absolutely love looking across the room and seeing his face. He’s handsome, funny and makes me smile. Because of him, I can remind people that divorce is not the end. The second chapter is often the best.

ADVICE TO OTHERS:

Be prepared to work very, very hard. Every case is the most important one because we are dealing with people’s lives, their children and their futures. Learn to manage the stress while still maintaining sympathy for what your clients are going through.
