FIRST BIG BREAK:

I was given an opportunity to lead a large IT project that impacted Medicare claims processing applications for 24 states. This gave me the chance to prove I had leadership skills in addition to my technical skills, which ultimately led me down this path.

ATTRACTION TO CAREER:

The emergence of computers in the workforce attracted me to this career. I felt like it was a path that would be challenging and provide a lot of opportunities. I am very competitive and love challenges.

MOST ADMIRABLE QUALITY IN WOMEN:

I love seeing women who are gracious, courageous and (most of all) with the ability to juggle career and family.

PERSON YOU MOST ADMIRE:

My grandma, Ruby, for teaching me the value of hard work. She was tireless and worked harder than anyone I have ever met.

ADVICE TO OTHERS:

Challenge business as usual, outwork your competition and never say “that’s not my job”.
