When Rachel Bunch first started at the Arkansas Health Care Association at the age of 21, she thought it would be a temporary stop on her career journey. Eleven years later, she has worked her way up the ladder to executive director and was the youngest in the entire country at her time of appointment. She lives in Little Rock with four generations of women under the same roof — herself, her 16-year-old daughter, her mother and her 92-year-old grandmother.

When I was younger, my favorite thing to watch was professional wrestling.

FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB:

I love the people that I work for and knowing the work I do on behalf of my members makes a difference for caregivers and elders across our state. Knowing a lot of information about an industry that is constantly evolving is a challenge, but the opportunity to share examples of the quality care we provide with policymakers is rewarding.

ADVICE TO OTHERS:

Keep working hard and be flexible. Know that life doesn’t always go as planned.

FAVORITE HOBBIES:

Cooking and checking as many concerts off my list with friends as possible.
