ATTRACTION TO CAREER:

Although a soap opera character piqued my interest in public relations, I later became attracted to the profession when I learned more about how it could be used strategically to bring about change for the good of society.

SURPRISING FACT:

I created and co-host a podcast called Blackbelt Voices that tells stories from and about Black folks down South. I’ve never been much of a talker, so it comes as a surprise to those who know me.

FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB:

I love getting the opportunity to share stories about the people who make up the places I call home, whether that’s in Conway or the South as a whole.

MOST ADMIRABLE QUALITY IN WOMEN:

I admire women who are courageous, self-assured and compassionate.

TALENT YOU WISH YOU HAD:

I wish I was better at working with my hands. My mother is a gifted quilter, and I also admire those who are good at woodworking. I, on the other hand, get frustrated shaping the Christmas tree.
