If you’re looking for a new experience in menswear, Q Clothier offers it.
Their newest offshoot, located in Little Rock Arkansas, is now open at The Promenade at Chenal. Behind the concept are menswear veterans Tony Dilday and Paul Rainwater. Together, with their combined 90 years’ experience in high-end retail, Rainwater and Dilday are set to make substantial waves in Little Rock fashion … or, we should say, Little Rock style. “Fashion is a dirty word,” says Dilday, “It really has nothing to do with anything. The word is ‘style.’ Fashion is fleeting; it’s chasing after the wind. Style is timeless.”
Q is the preeminent custom clothing destination for the modern gentleman. Their seamless process makes it simple for the most skeptical shoppers to experience the world of hand-tailored clothing and ready to wear garments with ease. It is evident nothing is spared in the way of service, fabrication and tailoring standards.
Rainwater and Dilday have wider aims for Q Clothier. More than the sales business, Q Clothier is about guiding a gentleman’s lifestyle through his dress. “No request is ridiculous; we want to exceed every expectation a client might have,” says Dilday. “We’re more personal concierges than salespeople; we provide a holistic approach to wardrobe and dress.”
Q Clothier also has its own, in-house casual brand, Rye 51. “It’s based on the same philosophy of small-batch rye whiskey,” Rainwater explains. “A limited run of the best designs, keeping our casual clothing both current and exclusive. You won’t see many other people wearing the same Rye 51 pieces that you’ll buy from us.” The sportswear brand is meant to be casual and approachable for any customer, even those who aren’t interested in custom. Rye 51 focuses on button-downs, jeans, soft sport coats, and tee-shirts, rounding out their overall product offering and making Q Clothier a one-stop-shop all of your menswear needs.
“We’re about adding more personal, disposable hours to the lives of busy people,” Dilday states. “I will do anything and everything for my clients, from picking up pressed clothes, delivering after cleanings, shoe repair, re-weaving, anything you can imagine that impacts your closet. I even tailor a fragrance to each individual client.” Think of it as more of a concierge-style service. The comprehensive customer care they provide along with customer service is what makes Q Clothier a standout among Little Rock’s gentlemen’s outfitters.
A two-day long shopping event, showcasing the shop, will be held Thursday, September 5 and Friday, September 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To celebrate the opening, and Dilday and Rainwater’s new-forged partnership, a launch party will take place on that Thursday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m.

“Void of proper fit, the finest tailored garment, regardless of price, is rendered worthless.”
