Junior Achievement of Arkansas is hosting a Beach Bowl-a-Thon to support its goal of empowering students to be college and career ready.

The fun event will be held Friday, June 25 at Millennium Bowl in Maumelle.

Arkansas Money & Politics and AY About You Magazine will serve as the sponsor for the event.

“We are so excited to partner with Junior Achievement on what will be a spectacular event for an even better cause,” AY Media Group president and publisher Heather Baker said in a statement. “The mission of Junior Achievement is an important one and has always been very close to my heart. Fundraisers like this are vital for the organization.”

Junior Achievement aims to empower young students to achieve economic success with a range of programs. The nonprofit has programs that help students develop entrepreneurial skills, help them develop job skills, learn how to build financial strength and more.

“Our goal this year is to increase student access to relevant and inspirational educational experiences and bridge gaps to inclusion. Junior Achievement is making steps to connect a future talent pipeline in a way that will help companies and communities elevate and attract top talent,” Junior Achievement of Arkansas president and CEO Tonya Villines said.

For the Beach Bowl-a-Thon, JA is inviting community members to have fun for a great cause, with all proceeds from the event benefitting JA’s financial literacy and workforce readiness programs, which impact more than 8,000 students in Central Arkansas.

The cost to bowl is $50 and includes bowling, food and two drink tickets. VIP teams that raise $750 or more receive goody bags, event t-shirts and unlimited drinks.
