AY About You is all about fresh faces this month for the New in Town Bucket List. Heather Baker and KARK’s Hunter Hoagland got the new bucket list tour started at Camp Taco.

 

 

“If you have not been here, you are missing out,” Baker says.

 

The duo begins with some of Camp Taco’s delicious cocktails and equally scrumptious appetizers, like the Hot Potatoes, cheese dip, and even vegan cheese dip.

 

 

For the entree round, Hoagland dives into a bowl of one of Camp Taco’s best sellers — Mexican Ramen, made with ramen noodles, spicy chili-lime broth, purple slaw, avocado, radish, pickled carrot, soft-boiled egg, chili flake crunch and lime.

 

“It’s not like regular ramen,” he says. “This thing is like ramen on steroids.”

 

 

Baker has a bowl of her own. The Big Shell Taco Salad, that is, which features a fried tortilla bowl, frijoles mixtos, lettuce, cheese, tomato, guacamole, sour cream, jalapenos, black olives, green onion, and both bandito and taco sauces.

 

Up next for Baker is the Bandito Pollo taco, with grilled chile-lime chicken, guacamole, cheese and bandito sauce.

 

While she’s digging into that, Hoagland tries out the Rainbow Fish taco, which is filled with grilled Mahi Mahi, purple slaw, salsa, dill crema, cilantro and fresh jalapeno.

 

 

And instead of closing out this week’s segment with dessert, the two cap things off with the Food Fight Michelada. It’s large. It’s in charge. And it’s very alcoholic, with practically the entire kitchen sink mixed into it.

 

“That tastes like I’m calling in tomorrow,” Hoagland says.
