We’ve been all about histories and legacies this month at AY About You for the Legendary Eateries Bucket List. This week, Heather Baker and KARK’s Hunter Hoagland were treated to tradition at Buffalo Grill in Little Rock.
“If you aren’t talking legendary restaurants and Buffalo Grill in the same sentence, what are you doing?” Hoagland says to open the segment.
The folks at Buffalo Grill hooked them up with a table full of iconic dishes. And Baker knew exactly where she was dipping her fork first — or, should we say, chip.
“I am going in first for the cheese dip,” she says.
Which by now seems like a weekly tradition, Hoagland gets the entree round started with a burger — a true classic for the restaurant.
Speaking of classics, Baker is all over the chili cheese dog. And neither of them is too keen on sharing.
But it’s not all stick-to-your-ribs dishes at the restaurant. Baker also loves its take on a club sandwich (which she says she orders almost every time she visits), especially with a side of homemade ranch.
“They have the best homemade ranch ever,” she says.
Hoagland is also quick to sing his praises for the sandwich in front of him, the Reuben, and the chicken tenders.
“Whoever said chicken fingers belong on a kids menu — wrong,” he says. “These are so good, so crispy.”
Another tradition for this hungry duo — dessert. Hoagland “can’t contain himself” over the chocolate fudge brownie with ice cream, and Baker says the apple pie a la mode is “amazing.”
