Fine Art Photographic Artist
It wasn’t until her family home became an empty nest that Linda Harding’s passion came into focus. She always enjoyed taking pictures, but it wasn’t until her children moved out that she began seeing the world a little differently and creating images that captured her newfound vision.
The photographer says she loves being outdoors in nature’s artwork. Much of her work is a direct reflection of her appreciation for the natural world, combined with a touch of surrealism and the abstract. This year her work was featured in a New York gallery and at Martha Stewart’s food and wine festival in Las Vegas.
“My desire is to try and produce art that reaches deeper than our daily reality,” she said. “My hope is my art inspires, causes pause for thought and evokes emotion in your soul.”
When not creating images, she spends her time with her husband, Rush Harding III, three adult children and five grandchildren.

First job: Foxmoor’s Clothing at McCain Mall.
Favorite food: Salmon, or whatever my son, Chef Payne makes for me at Cache Restaurant.
What attracted you to your career? I did not pursue my photography to another level until I was an empty nester. I love making images that move beyond photography. I like to show a painterly, textured, dark-quality, somewhat desaturated, that takes the viewer away from reality to the surreal quality in my mind.
What accomplishment are you most proud of? Showing my work in a gallery. I am currently in M2 Gallery in Little Rock. Showing in a gallery in New York this summer was exciting! This month, I am fortunate to be included in the art room at Martha Stewart’s food and wine festival in Las Vegas. Culinary experts from Vegas restaurants will be matching food and wine with works from five different artists.
What’s something others would be surprised to know?
I am actually an introvert. I love tattoos.
What do you love most about what you do? Travelling and meeting new people from all over the world who become lifelong friends. I enjoy being creative and expressing it.
What quality do you most admire in other women? Integrity. Being uplifting to others. Little Rock is fortunate to have many women that fit the definition! I think women make the world go around.
Do you have a personal motto? Be the best you can be every day. It doesn’t matter the job or passion. Also, education is the key to the world.
What talent do you wish you had? To be a rock star.
Hobbies: Gardening, dogs, parrots, photography.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? East Coast or West Coast. Maine, Cape Cod or San Francisco to be exact. Maybe a home on the beach somewhere listening to the ocean waves every day.
