Little Rock has gone to the dogs. In a good way!
Lawnstarter, an online startup, has determined Little Rock is the sixth friendliest city for canines in the U.S. based on online interest.
Little Rock does love its dogs. The city offers a wide variety of dog-centric amenities, including dog parks and even a dog-friendly restaurant and bar.
Some of the dog-friendly parks in Little Rock include Murray Park, Rebsman Park, McArthur Bark Park, Burns Park and the Rock Valley Trail.
To determine the city rankings, Lawnstarter used Google Trends to analyze search activity related to dogs. Google Trends analyzes searches for a particular term within a designated time and location, and then assigned a score between 1 to 100. A score of 100 indicates the maximum search interest for a specified period and location.
Knoxville may have nabbed the top spot, but Little Rock isn’t far behind in the rankings. Knoxville scored a 91 in the Google Trends analysis, while Little Rock scored an 81.
