The Little Rock Marathon has taken a hit, but don’t count it out yet.
City of Little Rock officials and marathon staff have announced that the Little Rock Marathon will be delayed in 2021. The dates for the annual marathon have been moved from March 6-7 to Nov. 20-21.
The 2020 Little Rock Marathon was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, although a 5K race and the Creep ‘N Crawl Half Marathon were held in October. These events attracted 600 and 325 people, respectively.
Organizers moved the dates of the marathon due to the difficulties of planning the event and due to COVID-19 safety concerns.
Individuals who have already registered for the marathon can move their registration to November or defer it until the 2022 race.
