Registration for the Little Rock Marathon opened this week. The Race Weekend will be held March 3-4, 2018.

For runners who want to train for the 2018 race, a “build-up” training phase begins Aug. 7 and official training starts in mid-September. Training is free, but runners have to register.

Registrations will be available online at littlerockmarathon.com until Feb. 23, 2018, but past marathons have sold out. Entrance to the marathon costs $90 until mid-October, when the price for most races will rise. Registration is limited to 2,845 people. Registration limits and prices for the other races can be found at the Little Rock Marathon website.

Officials say they anticipate the 2018 race to sell out before the end of the year.

In addition to the marathon, Race Weekend events include the Little Rock Health & Fitness Expo, the Little Rock Half Marathon, the Little Rock 10K, the Little Rock 5K Fun Run/Walk and the Little Rockers Kids Marathon. Registration for the Little Rockers Kids Marathon will be available in late August.
