Little Rock native Dusty Hannahs, who played at the University of Arkansas from 2015 to 2017, signed a 10-day contract with the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies over the weekend. The contract guarantees Hannahs $47,371.
Hannahs, 25, was called up from the G League Memphis Hustle, and played in Sunday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Hannahs played 14 minutes in the Sunday night game, racking up four points and a rebound. He also had four assists in the game.
According to the Los Angeles Times, arena security double checked the shooting guard was on the team’s roster as he took the court for warmups.
With the Hustle, Hannahs averaged 14.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 49 games. He has shot a league-leading 92.6 percent from the free-throw line.
During his two years at the University of Arkansas, Hannahs averaged 15.4 points over 68 games. He signed with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2017 following after helping the Razorbacks reach the NCAA tournament in his senior season.
