Little Rock is rolling out the welcome wagon for visitors tomorrow.

As part of National Travel & Tourism Week, Little Rock officials and tourism industry leaders will greet passengers at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport with a pep rally on Tuesday, May 7, at 2 p.m.

During the pep rally, guests can meet the “BowWow Buddies,” the airport’s service dogs. There will also be free Loblolly ice cream and live entertainment provided by the Mabelvale Elementary 2 Cold Drumline.

Tourism is a major industry in Little Rock, accounting for $1.95 billion in travel expenditures and 6.4 million annual guests. According to the Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism’s 2017 report, guests contributed $74.2 million in state taxes and $33.3 million in local taxes during their stay.
