Big cat lovers, this one’s for you: a new lion has arrived at the Little Rock Zoo.

Amboseli, a four-year-old male lion, has come all the way from the Henry Villas Zoo in Madison, Wisconsin to make his place in the Little Rock pride.

The Little Rock Zoo family sadly lost fourteen year old Bakari in December of 2020. The Zoo states that Bakari’s passing left a hole in their hearts, but there is room for Amboseli to make a home in the empty space.

The young lion is moved in and ready to meet his new friends, so stop by and say hello!
