South Arkansas is in for a treat this week, with no “April Fools” attached — Whataburger is officially opening its first-ever Magnolia location. This will join the Texarkana location as one of only two in Arkansas outside of the Northwest region.
“We always knew Magnolia was a place Whataburger could call home and we couldn’t be more excited to officially open our doors,” says Whataburger franchisee Jason Hablinski. “Our wonderful local team, led by Operating Partner Tarvance Larry, looks forward to serving up Whataburger’s famous burgers and extraordinary customer service.”
The restaurant, located at 49 Highway 79 N., will reportedly pay respect to Whataburger’s storied history while also looking to the future. The location’s “forward-thinking design” features a state-of-the-art kitchen, double drive-thru lanes and an open dining room. Plenty of respect is also being paid to Magnolia itself, with a custom interior mural featuring hometown landmarks, such as Southern Arkansas University and Magnolia High School.
The Magnolia Whataburger is set to open on Thursday, March 31 at 10:30 a.m. Its lunch menu will be available on opening day, and beginning Friday it will offer 24/7 dine-in, carry-out and drive-thru service. The restaurant, a representative shares, will employ a team of 100 “Family Members,” and will also have self-serve kiosks for added convenience to guests.
