This is the fabulous view from the Cliff House Inn overlooking what is known as Arkansas’ Grand Canyon. With our temperatures so mild and the weather so perfect, it’s a great day to make the drive up Highway 7.
Just a few more weeks and we should see the leaves changing. The view inside the restaurant is good, too. Especially with the great meals the restaurant serves.
The Cliff House Inn is known for several menu items. The first is their pinto beans, cornbread and cole slaw. Their slaw has cilantro and a tiny bit of sugar so it’s different than what you are expecting. The Rueben is very good, but the official pie of Arkansas along with blackberry cobbler made its way to our table. The Company’s Comin’ Pie is the official state pie!
Who knew we had one? It is made with a meringue crust and pineapple and nuts are involved. It’s very light with a tiny bit of crunch.
