FIRST TASTE OF SUCCESS:

When I realized how ignorant I am, to be honest. When I was younger, I used to think I knew everything. Suddenly, I realized how much I didn’t know and that changed a lot. I started to become successful then.

WHAT IS A “GOOD MAN?”

It is to make the right choices. When we are presented with situations, we as humans have the ability to choose. Not one of us is a saint, but if you always try to make the right decisions, then you end up being a better person.

MOST ADMIRABLE QUALITY IN OTHER MEN:

It is the ability to stay humble and preserve our best human traits, which include a lot of compassion and empathy. If you have this, you are always making other good decisions.

SURPRISING FACT:

I am very down to earth. People sometimes make assumptions about you as a neurosurgeon, and someone who is well achieved, so they come to you with some caution or preconceived ideas about you not being approachable. It is completely the opposite.

ADVICE TO OTHERS:

I usually tell my fellows and younger staff not to try and be someone else. If they want to come learn from me, I tell them not to try and be me. Always try to be the best version of yourself because your best may be much better than me. If you try to be like someone else, you limit yourself. If you try to be the best version of you, there is no limit to that.
