Bloody Mary

Ken Clark’s first business endeavor came before he was even in high school, at the age of 13. But like most of what he sets his mind to, it was a success. Those lessons he learned as a young businessman drove him to show up when it was hard, and now Clark has received degrees from Pepperdine University and National University, has been named as an Inc. Magazine 5,000 Fastest Growing Business multiple times and is the CEO of Chenal Family Therapy, PLC.

FIRST TASTE OF SUCCESS:

My father helped me open a sports collectible business when I was 13 years olds. By the end of high school it was generating $100,000 annually in revenue, and he continually pushed me into the decision making roles for that company.

MOST ADMIRABLE QUALITY IN OTHER MEN:

Integrity, grit, kindness and perspective.

SURPRISING FACT:

I’m a huge crier, especially when singing along with certain Broadway shows.

PERSONAL MOTTO:

“To be loved without being liked means you’re being tolerated.”

HOW HAVE YOUR EXPERIENCES SHAPED YOU?

Graduate school changed everything for me. I had a diversity class that rocked my sense of privilege and my graduate practicum allowed me to see myself clearer than ever through the journeys of the people who sat on my therapy couch.
