WILLIAM JONES

“IF YOU LIVE EVERY DAY AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST. ONE DAY, YOU WILL BE RIGHT.”

Vice President of Operations, Sissy’s Log Cabin

Pine Bluff

I enjoy the occasional glass of wine with my wife.

As the vice president of operations at Sissy’s Log Cabin, William Jones has centered his life around ensuring the family business remains the rock that holds the Jones family together. Jones has had the unique opportunity to concentrate his entire life on consistency, as his work career has always been spent doing significant work with his family. Fittingly, he says family and work are the highlights of his skillset, the perfect combination for Jones’ goal of spending his life with family and doing the things he loves.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT:

I’m very proud of the growth of Sissy’s, and that I’ve been able to really be a significant part of the business throughout my lifetime.

SURPRISING FACT:

During the COVID-19 shutdown, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by how good I am at painting nails — must have been the jewelry repair experience.

REMEMBER ME FOR:

I want to be remembered, most of all, for being a great husband, father, and friend. I want people to remember me as someone who was dedicated to leaving the world a little bit better for my children.

PERSONAL MOTTO:

“Take responsibility for everything in your life. You’re the author of this book.”

HOW HAVE YOUR EXPERIENCES SHAPED YOU?

Through my various life experiences, I’ve learned to really focus on spending time with my family and doing the things I enjoy. I’ve found you can only be really good at a few things, and family and jewelry are my top two.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT:

I’m really stuck between two. It’s either recently beating DJ Williams in our latest series of 1v1 basketball. (He’ll hate to know this news went public!) Or, maybe it’s partnering with Arkansas Money and Politics on the design/development of its new website. Honestly, I’m not sure which one felt better!
