After 65 years of caring for children in the Little Rock area, Miss Selma’s School closed on Wednesday, July 21.
A statement released by the elementary school cited “heartbreaking events” that occurred the year before, preventing them from opening for the new school season.
After a May incident involving a teaching assistant being arrested for producing child pornography, enrollment plummeted.
The school is currently in the process of reimbursing all of the families that paid tuition for the upcoming school year. The school taught children from the ages of 18 months through 5th grade.
