On July 2, Prestonrose Farm and Brewing Co. will become the exclusive provider of draft beer for Mockingbird Bar & Tacos in Little Rock.

According to a news release, Mockingbird Bar & Tacos will carry 12 Prestonrose products, including its Heritage pale ale, Blue Centennial, Hawk & Horse porter, as well as rotating seasonal brews and its non-alcoholic Ginger Ale and “Roots” Beer.

“We look forward to working with Prestonrose well into the future,” Jack Sundell says in a statement. Sundell is co-owner and operator of Mockingbird and its sister restaurant, The Root Cafe. “Prestonrose’s use of local and seasonal ingredients in their beers is the perfect match for Mockingbird’s farm-to-taco menu. We’ve been a big fan of theirs for years, and we’re thrilled to be able to share their amazing craft brews with Central Arkansas beer lovers.”

On July 2, Mockingbird will host a kickoff event to commemorate the partnership, starting with a “Meet the Brewer” night with Prestonrose brewer Liz Preston from 4 to 9 p.m. Live music from The Going Jessies will play from 6 to 9 p.m. across the street at the SoMa Outdoor Dining Room. On July 3, the Rodney Block Collective will play live at the SoMa Outdoor Dining Room from 6 to 9 p.m.

Mockingbird will have kickoff specials that weekend: $6 Prestonrose beer flights and $2 5-ounce tasters.
