Arkansas might not have the same profile as Memphis or Nashville when it comes to music, but the Natural State is a hotbed for musical talent and performances. One of the musical highlights each year in Arkansas Murphy Arts District’s MusicFest.
For more than 30 years, MusicFest has been bringing great talent into downtown El Dorado for a fun-filled weekend. And they’re at it again for 2019.
The Murphy Arts District and Main Street El Dorado have announced the lineup for the 2019 MusicFest, which will be held September 27-28.
Starting Friday, September 27, Walk The Moon, lovelytheband and The New Respects will headline the festival. Afterwards, RDGLDGRN will perform a late-night show at the Griffin Restaurant.
In case you don’t know, Walk The Moon has racked up more than 850 million streams and two Billboard Magazine Awards; lovelytheband was named the 2019 iHeart Radio Music Award for Best New Rock/Alternative Artist; and The New Respects were named one of Rolling Stone’s “Bands You Need to Know About.”
On Saturday, September 28, enjoy the musical stylings of 2018 CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Brett Young; Gone West featuring Colbie Caillat; Tyler Rich; Gabby Barrett; and Teddy Robb. Trey Johnson, a regional favorite, is also on the bill.
On Saturday, the Griffin Restaurant will host a number of acts, including Spectra Vamp, Szlachetka and The ShotGunBillys.
Starting June 10, MAD members can buy tickets. The general public will be able to purchase tickets on Wednesday, June 12 at 10 am, starting the early bird phase. Tickets will only be available for purchase as two-day packages until the one-day tickets go on sale July 6. Prices will increase starting September 22.
