Fayetteville’s Omar Kasim is planning to bring his popular Juice Palm to Dickson Street. The cold-pressed juice bar which also makes smoothies, acai bowls and fresh salads will open at 644 W. Dickson Street in the former location of Blackboard Grocery.
According to Kasim, renovations of the space will begin soon.

We plan to open in the next month. Because this location is so close to the student population, we are really trying to emphasize the aesthetics of the space and grab and go options,” Kasim says. “We’ll be offering additional breakfast options, will have larger communal seating, and will have the space covered in plant life. Our goal is to make it a healthy cafe feel that people can feel comfortable working for extended periods of times as well as run in and out for a quick meal.

“In addition to the Juice Palm, we’re also planning on launching a late night quesadilla bar out the back side door. It’s going to be called PLOMO and will be open Thurs-Sat 8pm-3am. Signature quesadillas served with specialty cremas.”
According to Kasim’s plan, the location will also feature a late-night quesadilla shop toward the back of the property which will also be accessible from the UARK Bowl. The proposed quesadilla shop would be open until 3 a.m., Thursday through Saturday.
