Since 1996, the Broyles Award has been recognizing the premier college football assistant coaches. The Frank & Barbara Broyles Foundation has released the nominees for the 2020 Broyles Award.

 

In total, 56 assistant coaches have been nominated for the 2020 award. These nominees were whittled down from roughly 1,270 assistant coaches representing 127 Division One college programs.

 

From the University of Aransas’ football program, defensive coordinator Barry Odom received a nomination for the award.

This list of nominees will be narrowed down to 15 semi-finalists and five finalists by a 43-member selection committee, consisting of former coaches, broadcasters and Football Writers Association of America members. An overall winner will then be selected.
