The holidays are a time for people to come together as one, united by love and compassion. This happy time, though, can be difficult for those who have suffered a loss.

As emotions run high around the holidays, grief and pain can be especially strong for some. People can grieve due to the loss of loved ones, a relationship (such as divorce), the loss of health and many other reasons.

During this season, it is important to breathe. Park Hill Baptist Church is offering those who are grieving or in pain a chance to do that this December.

Breathe: A Service of Consolation and Reflection is a community worship service that allows people to be alone with God and release their emotions. There are no expectations or rules for those attending. It is simply a chance to unburden yourself, if only briefly, from your worries.

The service will take place Sunday, Dec. 2, from 4-5 p.m., at Park Hill Baptist Church, in North Little Rock. The church’s address is 201 East C. Avenue, North Little Rock, AR.

It is a free event, and childcare is available by reservation. Use this link to sign up for childcare.
