Christmas may be past, but the season of giving is never over!
AY Magazine recently partnered with Second Chance Youth Ranch to collect luggage for its foster care children. Thanks to our fantastic readers, the luggage drive was a huge success! Children at Second Chance Youth Ranch have benefitted greatly from the new luggage. “The luggage drive was an incredible success. Thank you for helping us,”AY Publisher Heather Baker says.
However, there’s still a need at the youth ranch for storage options, specifically plastic bins. AY is launching a new drive to collect plastic bins for the ranch’s young adults.
“Now what we’re trying to do is collect plastic bins. This is foster care for kids 12 to 19 – young adults. Think about your teenagers and young adults and what they need to put their stuff in,” AY writer Lisa Fischer says.
The kids use the bins to store items that they don’t need every day, but that they don’t want to get rid of. The items can be placed in bins where they are safe and dry.
Heather and Lisa are calling on AY’s readers again to help this worthy cause. “All the major retailers have them on sale from the extras they have left over from Christmas. So it’s a great time to get these and help out these kids,” Baker says.
Visit your local retailer or online store to find plastic bins for the Second Chance Youth Ranch. Once you have the bins, you can drop it off at AY’s office and we will deliver it for you.
AY Magazine’s office is located at 910 W. 2ndStreet in downtown Little Rock. Our phone number is 501-244-9700.
Alternatively, you can ship the bins directly to Second Chance Youth Ranch. The address is 1623 Woodland Park Dr., Bryant, AR 72022.
