The Joe T. Robinson High School Singing Senators are hitting a high note this summer as they travel to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall in June.
The group will be the first in Robinson High School history to perform at Carnegie Hall. The Singing Senators will perform “Gloria” by Francis Poulenc alongside choir members from Berryville High School, Una Voce and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Choir under Dr. Lorissa Mason’s direction.
“The performance trip will be a rewarding experience focused on providing a relevant, memorable and rewarding student travel experience,” says Edmond Hampton, Robinson High School choir director.
Carnegie Hall is one of the most famous concert halls in the country, and students will also have the opportunity to sightsee and experience a Broadway musical while visiting NYC. The trip will take place from June 23 to 27.
In an effort to offset the travel expenses, Joe T. Robinson Choir Boosters are collecting donations. For questions about fundraising or to donate, email the RHS Singing Senators.
