Initially, the Arkansas Razorbacks were rallying against Ole Miss in the College World Series of Baseball and during the Rocco’s Jello Shot Challenge. The Rebels, of course, went on to win their second game in the semifinals to eliminate the Hogs.

They would then clutch this year’s World Championship against the Oklahoma Sooners. In addition to taking home the championship this year, they also broke a new record for this year’s Rocco’s Jello Shot Challenge with a whopping total of 18,777 jello shots consumed by Ole Miss fans.

Arkansas was in second place with a total of 8,672 jello shots purchased. Do the math at $2 per jello shot donated that makes a generous $17,344 donation from Rocco’s owners, Kevin and Bonnie Culjat, to the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry in Fayetteville.

KETV Channel 7 in Omaha interviewed University of Arkansas junior Victoria Savage, who has volunteered for the last couple of years at the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry. According to KETV 7, Savage says they will be using the proceeds from the Jello Shot Challenge to improve the facade of the pantry located in an old building on the University of Arkansas Fayetteville campus.

If you are sad the Diamond Hogs didn’t win it all this year, don’t be too glum because there are always jello shots, and of course, there is always next year.
