Clear your schedule for tomorrow! The annual Runway for the Cure will be the main attraction in Little Rock on Thursday.
Runway for the Cure is a celebration of breast cancer survivors and a remembrance of those no longer with us. The fashion show and luncheon benefits the Arkansas affiliate of Susan G. Komen, which funds breast cancer programs throughout the state, as well as national research to discover a cure for breast cancer.
However, this is not simply a fundraiser for breast cancer. It is a way of empowering women who have survived breast cancer. All of the models are breast cancer survivors, and they will be looking fantastic in designer clothes!
Lisa Fischer of AY Magazine and Chris Kane of KATV will serve as the emcees for the event, the models walk down the runway in all of the wonderful clothing. It’s going to be a great show!
AY Magazine is the founding sponsor of Runway for the Cure. The event was founded 16 years ago by Vicki Vowell, CEO and founder of Vowell Inc., and she hosted Runway for 10 years and raised $1 million to combat breast cancer.
Runway for the Cure will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m., at the Clear Channel Metroplex, located at 10800 Colonel Glenn Road, in Little Rock.
