We’re all about fashion for a good cause. Runway for the Cure 2018, which is set for Thursday, October 4 at 11 a.m., will combine fashion and fundraising in a fabulous luncheon.
Join us as we celebrate breast cancer survivors and remember those who are no longer with us. Runway for the Cure benefits the Arkansas affiliate of Susan G. Komen, which gives money to local programs and national research in hopes of helping survivors and finding a cure for breast cancer. They aim to combat cancer through education, screening, research and treatment.
The clothes at Runway for the Cure, a luncheon and fashion show, will be modeled by breast cancer survivors. Susan G. Komen is looking for survivors to model in the show. If you’re interested in being a part of Runway, go to KomenArkansas.org and fill out the model application and release form. You must apply by July 20.
AY Magazine is the founding sponsor of Runway for the Cure. Vicki Vowell, the CEO and founder of Vowell, Inc., AY‘s parent company, started the event as Runway for a Cause 16 years ago. After hosting the event for 10 years and raising $1 million to fight breast cancer, Vowell passed the event on to Komen Arkansas.
