Scallions is a gem of a lunch place in the middle of the Heights.  The restaurant has been serving delicious lunches for over 32 years now.
The same terrific chicken salad, shrimp salad and the TO-DIE-FOR cheese soup have been making al fresco and indoor diners so happy for so long.  Brandi and Chip Meadows took over 3 ½ years ago and haven’t strayed far from their roots. They have though incorporated a stuffed avocado with either the shrimp, chicken or tuna salad and combine that with the lemon poppyseed muffin and cheese soup, and you’ll talk about that meal all day! In fact, you’ll make a point to go back and have it again.
I posted about Scallions last month on my Facebook page, and a week later a friend called and said, “I have to have the cheese soup you talked about.” So we did. And I’d go back tomorrow and eat it all again.
