One of Conway’s favorite events is here, once again, formally stamping the shift of the season. The crops of holiday merchandise might find its way into department stores earlier and earlier every year, but it’s not officially Christmas for Conway until Dazzle Daze arrives.
Dazzle Daze is an annual shopping extravaganza put on by the Conway Regional Health Foundation, hosted at the Conway Expo and Event Center, at 2505 East Oak Street. Merchants from around the state and the country descend upon the central Arkansas community, serving up deals on gourmet foods, holiday-themed commodities, jewelry, children’s items, women’s clothing and accessories, men’s items, art, home decor and more.
Prospective patrons with appetites for shopping bag stuffing will have plenty of opportunities to quell those desires. Santa Claus himself even takes a break from double-checking his naughty or nice list to make an appearance at the event, sitting in for professional photo-ops with those who are interested.
New this year is the “Ultimate Girls’ Nite Out,” presented by Sissy’s Log Cabin. This deluxe package, of which only 100 tickets are being sold, includes early access to the original Girls’ Nite Out on Thursday, through an exclusive VIP entrance, a reserved swag bag and coupon book, an exclusive gift, full weekend admission and 12 raffle tickets.
But more important than the holiday market is at the heart of what it’s all about. The money raised from ticket sales goes to the Conway Regional Women’s Council, which uses the proceeds towards medical scholarships, technologically advanced equipment and in supporting patient and community programs.
