Little Rock 2021 Soup Sunday is back for its 40th anniversary and will be commencing as a virtual event on Feb. 21, 2021. Accompanying 40-year Soup Sunday veterans Dave’s Place and The Faded Rose, participating restaurants will offer specials for the entire month of February (Feb. 1-28) excluding Valentine’s weekend.

In the past, more than 1,000 people would show up for Soup Sunday for some tasty soup and other treats, but the people behind the event have had to stir the pot a little in order to make the event safe for all participants. (Virtual) attendees are still encouraged to have their muffin tins ready to try all the featured soups in one sitting – and the beauty of this virtual event is that the soups can be enjoyed while you’re at home and cozy!

Tickets for this souptacular event are available here. Individual tickets are served at $35, 40th anniversary tickets are $40 and patron tickets are $60. These tickets are your gateway to the special offers from participating restaurants, your pass to the Soup Sunday virtual event on Feb. 21 and a chance to bid on auction items.

Most importantly, proceeds from ticket sales are donated to Arkansas Advocates for Children & Families (AACF). AACF is an organization dedicated to providing resources and opportunities for healthy and safe lives for children and their families in Arkansas. The organization advocates for Arkansas children at the State Capitol and in Washington D.C. to fight for our children in risky situations (economic instability, health care, race equity and much more). Each year, the AACF provides an annual report for people to review and understand what efforts were made during that year. Help from the community and events like Soup Sunday are important in continuing AACF’s mission to be the voice for Arkansas children.

Businesses, organizations, families and individuals are encouraged to sponsor Soup Sunday for more benefits, including a possible soup-delivery should community health concerns allow. Sponsorship levels and information can be found here. For more information, email Fran Carter at fcarter@aradvocates.org or call 501-371-9768, ext. 107.

Support the people in our state and slurp up some good soup!
