For the third stop on the Romantic Dinner Bucket List tour, AY‘s Heather Baker and KARK’s Hunter Hoagland dropped by Brood & Barley in the Argenta District of North Little Rock.
“I had to have Brood & Barley on the bucket list because it is one of my favorite places to have date night,” Baker says.
“I love this place and the Argenta area,” Hoagland says. “It’s so fun. A great place to have date night.”
As usual, the folks at Brood & Barley hooked it up with a table full of delicious dishes.
Some of the plates are familiar in name, but all are original to the eatery. Like the B&B Meatloaf, which is made with bison meat and sits on a bed of mac and cheese. Or the Legit Cheesesteak, made with shaved ribeye, pilsner onions and cheese sauce, all on a toasted roll.
Hoagland has one word to sum up the Philly: “Unbelievable.”
Then there’s the Scotch Deviled Eggs, made with Olles Farm sweet sausage, lemon zest, capers and pickled beet salad. And the Pierogies and Crawfish, a homemade variety of pierogies served with crawfish cream sauce, roasted corn relish and fried tarragon leaves.
The other thing that stands out at Brood & Barley is the bar, featuring incredible, award-winning cocktails, as well as the craft brews of Flyway.
But we can’t wrap up a date night dinner without dessert. Baker is delighted by the Coconut Cream Mousse Jar, and Hoagland is all over the S’mores Brownie.
Tune in next week to see where we end up on the last stop for the Romantic Dinner Bucket List.
