For week three of the Burger Bucket List tour, Heather Baker and KARK’s Hunter Hoagland visited the beloved family affair — David’s Burgers.
“To me,” Baker says of David’s, “it’s all about the customer service.”
And speaking of that, while the duo is waiting for their meals, they get delivered a serving of the famous, complimentary “hot fries!”
Then, the man himself, David Alan Bubbus Jr., stops by the table to talk to the two. He says David’s is up to 10 locations around Arkansas now, and is working on a brand-new concept, the soon-to-come Jess’s Chicken.
Bubbus says his favorite item on the menu is simply the No. 1. “Burger, fries and a drink — can’t go wrong with that.”
Baker starts things off with his recommendation. “It is so good.”
But of course, Hoagland has to take it a step further with the double. “I’ve got what Heather got, just amplified.”
If burgers aren’t you’re thing, David’s also has chicken sandwiches on the menu as well.
Then, while Baker saves room for dessert, Hoagland digs into another of the eatery’s non-burger options, the Hamburger Steak, which is topped with onions and mushrooms.
The two finish up the David’s Burgers experience with ice cream milkshakes.
