The event was the inaugural shindig for a few women-owned businesses who want to teach us how to entertain and be gracious hosts. It was called Cocktails in the Garden where Crave Catering (my favorite caterer as chronicled in a Lisa’s Favorite Things’ post from 2018) fed us fried chicken and succotash among other things, and we sipped on summer cocktails. They even had a bartender teaching us how to make our own.
We were sent home with lavender and rosemary, and we got to see our friends sweat in humidity that should have been illegal. (Now that we are in the middle of a summer cold front, we have all forgotten last week’s heat, huh?)
Shop Southern Life in the Heights and The Velvet Boxwood were two of the other hosts. It was a great evening, and they plan to do more. Follow them all on IG, and you’ll find out when the next gathering is. Heather and I will see you there!
