There are some foods that are just made for food trucks. When you think of these foods, it’s only natural that you’d want to head to a food truck and chow down.

In the Food Truck Bucket List, sponsored by the Lab Food Truck by Kemuri, AY Publisher Heather Baker and KARK host DJ Williams have already tackled a number of these foods. But there’s one major food group they haven’t hit yet: tacos.

“You know you can’t do food truck without checking some tacos,” Williams jokes.

To solve this, the duo headed for Tacos Godoy, the distinctively blue food truck that dishes up authentic Mexican cuisine, ranging from tacos to quesadillas and more. They found the truck at Pleasant Ridge, just in time for Taco Tuesday!

For their visit, chief/owner Alejandro Gutierrez prepared a full spread of delicious food for Baker and Williams. This includes chicken quesadillas, different kinds of tacos and even a vegan dish.

“They have a ton of stuff on the menu. It sounds amazing,” Williams says.

Unfortunately for Williams, his experience of Tacos Godoy was limited by his veganism. “We have tacos galore, and they’re all for me except for one. DJ doesn’t get any but one because he’s vegan,” Baker says.

“This is probably the most jealous I’ve been because I love tacos,” Williams.

Baker tastes the five different entrees, declaring that they are delicious. Williams admits that “it looks amazing to eat.”

There’s still one more spot to hit in the Food Truck Bucket List tour, but you’ll have to check back next week to find out what it is.

Baker did give a clue, though. “It’s one of my favorites and it’s one of AY’s favorites as well,” she says.
