Today (July 24) is National Drive-Thru Day. It sounds a bit ridiculous to celebrate but just know that the drive-thru has become a total game changer in 2020 for both the restaurant and customer.
Don’t believe me? Drive past some of the businesses listed below and check out their lines. Utilizing a drive-thru allows you to remain socially distant, while supporting many of our local eateries.
Here are 20 options.
- Andy’s of Little Rock
- Black Angus (coming soon)
- Burgers Pies and Fries (Conway)
- China Taste
- Dark Side Coffee Co.
My Take: Great little coffee hut just off JFK Boulevard in North Little Rock.
- David’s Burgers
- Mark’s Do-Nut Shop
My Take: Mark’s serves up the very best donuts in the area. Everything is outstanding, but you can’t go wrong with a glazed or chocolate iced donut. If the coconut is available, order it.
- Mexico Chiquito
- Stoby’s (Conway)
My Take: This beloved Conway restaurant is celebrating its 40th anniversary this week. I recommend partaking in one of their bacon burgers.
- Tacos 4 Life
- Taqueria Los Agaveros
- The Humble Crumb Bakery
My Take: This cute bakery in Sherwood serves up some amazing cinnamon rolls. The quiche isn’t too shabby either.
- The Original ScoopDog
My Take: Did someone say concretes? The hot dogs are great at ScoopDog, but the variety of frozen sweet treats is what bring the summertime crowds.
- Wild Sweet William’s Bakery (Searcy)
My Take: When it comes to Arkansas bakeries, there is none better than Wild Sweet William’s. Everything they do is outstanding, but the kolaches are unreal.
Call Ahead Drive-Thrus
- Baja Grill (Little Rock location)
My Take: Did someone say Cuban Nachos? Just trust me on this one. The combination of flavors yields a party on a platter.
- Bulgogi Korean BBQ (Conway)
My Take: Bulgogi is probably my current favorite Conway restaurant. The menu is simple and straightforward, so order anything with noodles and call it a day. Oh, get the wings as well. And the rice bowl.
- Heights Taco & Tamale Co.
- Hubcap Burger Company
- Suttle’s Road Hog BBQ (Beebe)
- Taj Mahal
My Take: Taj’s churns out such quality and consistent food, all at a very reasonable cost. Heads up, those vegetable samosas are fantastic.
