Arkansas is filled with some great food and drink bloggers. Each month at AY About You, we’ll be doing a round-up post featuring all the wonderful writing and picture-taking going on throughout the state. If there is a blog you’d like to be featured, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kevin Herrington has a YouTube channel where he interviews locally owned restaurants around Conway. Looks like three episodes are available, so please check them out and learn more about this city’s food scene.
The Little Rock Foodie was recently raving about a post-farmers market visit to Mylo Coffee Co. And you can bet some pastries happened.
Congrats to Tip Top Chew on his six-year food blogging anniversary. That’s a great stretch. Also, check out this awesome pic of a sloppy cheeseburger from Slingblade Drive Thru. They do serve a mean burger. I went there last year and really enjoyed my experience.
Looks like Jess of eating_with_jess_ was having a nice time at last weekend’s Hillcrest Harvestfest. What a great day for a festival and the turnout seemed quite high. As for me? I spent most of my time walking around, followed by cocktails and brats at The Pantry.
Looks like Litfoodie was also at The Pantry Crest.
I hate to admit this, but I’ve never had dessert at Terri-Lynn’s. That will soon change after seeing this post from The Scientists Eats. I mean, look at that chocolate chess pie! I typically have a few deviled eggs for dessert when I’m at the restaurant, but I will opt for a more standard meal-ender next time around.
Last month, I called out Kaylie and Hannah of The Know It Alls for being quiet on the food front. Well, guess who stepped up over the past month? The two visited one of my favorite spots, Orange Mammoth Café in Redfield.
Cooking turnip greens? Dining with Debbie has a great tip.
If you aren’t following the Bearded Chef Guy’s Facebook page (or IG), then that’s a mistake. The man can cook, and his pics are insane. This recent one of a cheeseburger will make you want to jump through the computer screen.
Emily and Amy of Conversations Cocktails + Connections got into the Halloween spirit on their most recent podcast episode. Check out the cocktail they’re making, which includes some random ingredients, but looks oh so good. Per usual, the ladies are having a blast.
Who makes the best cheese dip in town? Miss Rock City says The Faded Rose. I’ll go with Heights Taco on this very subjective food topic. My second place might be The Fold. That said, it’s been a long time since I’ve had the one at The Faded Rose. I might need to rectify that soon.
The Bearded Foodie hit up the new Camp Taco in the East Village, and it sounds like things went very well.
This burger pic from Arkansas Foodie will also drive you crazy.
Vegan chili? I trust Erika from The Kitchen on Goshen Hill to pull it off. Her not-so-secret ingredient is dark cocoa powder. Make sure to follow this new-ish food blog for videos, great recipes, and cooking tips.
Honey Garlic Salmon from Brilliant Eats? Yes, please.
The NWA Lunch Bunch crushed a tasty-looking burger from Art’s Place. And those French fries don’t look too shabby either.
Gumbobytes has the latest on Pizzeria Ruby. By all accounts, this pizza is fantastic, and I cannot wait to check it out for myself. I just need to plan a big food trip up to NWA.
Looks like Maruka from With a Glass of Wine has been busy. Within the past week, she’s posted about Roasted Squash Soup, Halloween Candy and Wine Pairings, and Vegetable Stew. I just love it when a food blogger is cranking out the content.
And last but not least, congrats to Pat Downs of Sweet Yellow Cornbread on the release of her new book: Sunday Comforts.
