The new Black Angus location
Black Angus, the beloved Little Rock restaurant formerly at 10907 N Rodney Parham Road, is busy working on its new home at the corner of Markham and Van Buren.
Remodeling is underway at the old KFC and Chi’s building, with an estimated opening date of mid-July. Until then, there is plenty of work to be done.
“I definitely have more problems than budget {smiles}, but it’s coming together. Subway is being prepped today to come down this week. Then I can build my barbecue pit and grill. We have almost completed installing all new plumbing and next week will come new wiring,” says owner Karla Creasey.

And you read right, Subway is coming down, in favor of parking spaces. As with the previous location, Black Angus will also have a drive-thru.
“The west side will be drive-thru and curb side. The Subway side will have dine-in parking, after we open the dining room. I am taking a window out on the west side and building out a drive-thru box. We will also have outside dining in front, under the sign. It will just be picnic tables at first, but we will eventually build a pavilion-style roof.”
When it is all said and done, the new Black Angus will be a welcome addition to that area of town, and folks should expect the same great menu centered on steaks, burgers and chili dogs.
