Northwest Arkansas never really takes a break when it comes to entertainment, but things are about to get turned up now that the students are coming back to Fayetteville. Here’s a rundown of what to look for this week.
August 15: MONTU, a jamtronica group out of Norman, Okla. Cover is $7. Show is 18+. Starts at 9 p.m.
August 16: Leopold & His Fiction, a rock band from Austin, Texas. Openers are Route 358 and Jasper Logan. Cover is $10. Show is 18+. Starts at 9 p.m.
August 17: Here Come the Mummies, a funk band that visually lives up to their name. Cover is $25. Show is 18+. Starts at 8:30 p.m.
August 18: Toxic Rhythms, a local band that blends rock, blues and funk. Cover is $10. Show is 18+. Starts at 10 p.m.
August 19: Wick-it the Instigator, electronic. Cover is $15. Show is 18+. Starts at 9 p.m.
August 20: Rastasaurus, reggae from Colorado.
August 12: Luray, indie rock from Richmond, VA, along with Tiffany Lee, of Little Rock and Thunder Comfort of Fayetteville. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door.
August 16: Bring Your Own Vinyl Night, hosted by Leigh Wood of KUAF 91.3. No cover. Event is 21+. Starts at 7 p.m.
August 17: Bayard Guitars presents Still on the Hill, folk from Northwest Arkansas. Show all ages, but $10 for 21+, under 21 is $15. Minors can attend with a guardian.
August 22: Jazz Jam with Jake Hertzog Trio. Cover is $5 ages 21+. $10 under 21. Show starts at 7 p.m.
August 17: Nonesuch Records artists Lake Street Dive. Doors open at 3 p.m. Band usually goes on around 7:30p.m. Show ends at 10 p.m. No cover. First come, first serve for seating.
August 12: Art Infusion’s Summer Fling, a party on the north lawn by Buckminster Fuller’s Fly’s Eye Dome featuring music by Bentonville Radio, DJ Todd of North America, and Tank and the Bangas. Cover is $45.
August 18: Randall Shreve (solo), indie rock. Cover is $8. Show starts at 9 p.m.
