For this week’s Thirsty Thursday, AY About You sits down with Gina Rambo, the publicist for Balcony Restaurant & Bar in Eureka Springs.
Rambo shares with us a little about the history.
“The hotel was built in 1905 and several restaurants — and bars — existed in different areas of the hotel over the years, finally landing in the location where the restaurant sits today,” she says. “In 1995, when current general manager, Jack Moyer, was hired, the restaurant officially became the Balcony Bar & Restaurant.”
Balcony Restaurant & Bar sells a drink menu consisting of beer, including local craft beer, a full bar, soda, tea and coffee.
Rambo shares with us some of the customer favorites.
“The Angus burgers are some of the best in town,” she says. “And save room for our famous Fried Huckleberry Pie with Huckleberry Ice Cream. The Bloody Mary’s are amazing. I’m not sure what the secret is, but I get asked all the time for the recipe!”
Rambo also shares with us some of the staff favorites.
“The white wings, which are strips of chicken wrapped around jack cheese and a jalapeño, bacon-wrapped, served with garlic ranch dressing,” she says. “Also, the nachos.”
This establishment is unique, with Basin Spring Park and Spring Street are the heart of downtown Eureka Springs. The Balcony Restaurant gives a bird’s-eye-view of both which makes it the best overlooking spot in town, with a menu that’s just as unique.
