What: Adult Workshop: Crystal Terrariums

Where: Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (Bentonville)

Tap into that creative side dying to blossom inside of you at Cyrstal Bridges’ Adult Workshop: Crystal Terrariums. Led by guest instructor and exhibition artist Paula Hayes, learn how to make your vision come to life. The crystal terrariums are inspired by her work and the natural environs in Cross Pollination: Heade, Cole, Church and Our Contemporary Moment. What: The Ouachita Highland Games and Mountain Market

Journey back in time to some of the oldest games known to humans: the Highland Games. Bring your friends and family for Celtic art, dancing, shopping and food. The games will begin at 9 am Saturday morning, and entertainment will be provided by the MacLachlan’s Highlanders who will be setting up a static living history display to discuss the 1745 Jacobite Rising. What: 11th Annual Orchid Show & Sale

Where: Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks (Fayetteville)

The Orchid Society of the Ozarks invites you to the 11th annual Orchid Show and Sale. For those unfamiliar with the event, prepare to browse through and shop for the eccentric flowers and participate in orchid-related classes. All orchids at the show are from regional orchid societies and individuals. The classes offered include Basic Orchid Care Class, Advanced Orchid Care Class and Orchid Diversity Class. What gives a girl power and punch? It’s “Hairspray!” The Tony Award-winning musical comedy is back on tour, and lucky for Arkansas, “Good Morning Baltimore” is coming to the Robinson Center stage. What: Market at Chenal

Where: Rahling Circle in Chenal Valley (Little Rock)

The Market at Chenal is returning this Saturday for one day, so be ready. The market will include fresh produce, bread and baked goods, canned and jarred products, fresh flowers and a variety of food, music and games. Don’t worry about leaving the market for lunch because there will be food truck vendors on standby. Show up ready to shop local and support small business owners in the area. Happy market shopping!

What: First Annual Johnny Cash Day/90th Birthday Celebration

Where: Johnny Cash Boyhood Home (Dyess)

When: 9 am to 3 pm

He walked the line, he found his sunshine and he left big shoes for country artists to fill when he departed. The Dyess community had plans to celebrate Johnny Cash’s 90th birthday on the day of (Feb. 26), but due to a power outage, the celebration was postponed to this weekend. Tours of the home will be free on March 5 to celebrate the first annual Johnny Cash Day in Arkansas. Find more information here!

What: BoBrook Farms Spring Fling Vendor Market

Where: BoBrook Farms (Roland)

When: 11 am to 3 pm

Knocking on wood, spring is almost here. BoBrook Farms is celebrating the warmer weather with more than 50 local vendors and River Bottom Winery wine to sip while you shop. If by the end of the day your arms are heavy with shopping bags, grab lunch from one of the attending food trucks and relax in a lawn chair with a glass of wine. Warmer weather means the return of outdoor activities – most excitedly, the return of outdoor concerts. Faucette Festivals is kicking off the spring season with performances by Gibbs Disco, Missy Midwest, Kinjo, Hieronaut, Ghettdown, Anonymous and Teknolicious. Bring your own food, drinks and chairs or blankets to kick it in the setting sun. This concert is free for the community to attend, but donations are appreciated to keep these festivals going. What: “Where Color Meets” Opening Reception

Spring is all about the colors, and Claire Pongonis’ work is, too. In March and April, the Ozark Beer Company is featuring Fayetteville-based artist Claire Pongonis’ work in celebration of her show “Where Color Meets.” Grab a drink from the bar, peruse the hors d’oeuvres and enjoy the artwork. The show will include original works on paper and thread paintings, and each piece focuses on the place where color meets color and how those intersections create landscapes, botanicals and forms. What: “Confetti” 10th Annual Turning Pointe Gala

For the 10th year, Ballet Arkansas is hosting the annual Turning Pointe Gala, and this year’s theme is “Confetti.” Guests of the gala will enjoy a cocktail reception, silent auction, live music from JAZZ R US, a seated dinner with a live auction, performances by the dancers of Ballet Arkansas, dessert, dancing and a moonlit farewell with live music by the Dizzy 7 Band. As Ballet Arkansas’ premier fundraising event, the Turning Pointe Gala raises funds to support the continued cultural enrichment in the community through world-class professional dance performances, accessible education and outreach programs.

Danny-Joe Crofford will moderate and lead the discussion between the legends as they share some of the greatest moments in Arkansas broadcasting. The weekend includes a Health & Fitness Expo, a marathon, a half marathon, 10k, 5k Little Rockers Kids Marathon Final Mile, a combo challenge and the Run Local Race Series.
