What: Night at the Museum
Where: Old State House (Little Rock)

Come to life with the museum after hours for some nighttime activities. These activities are not as sinister as they sound, we promise. There will be music trivia, a “Play It Loud” exhibit scavenger hunt, album cover costume contest with prizes and drinks from Nach’yo Nachos. To enter the museum full of fun and surprises, a $5 donation to the School Bus Fund is required at the door.

What: Haunted Argenta Ghost Tours

Do you ever feel a sudden chill going to your favorite restaurant in Argenta? Or like someone is watching you? Argenta has a long history of construction, revitalization and countless footsteps that have walked down the same streets we walk today. Join Haunted Argenta Ghost Tours for a walking tour of the district and listen to stories of Argenta’s history. Those brave enough will learn about the original buildings, the interwoven lives of those buildings and the dwellers that aren’t always seen but live there still. You will hear the story of Anastasia, see photos of the Argenta Devil and stand in places where history was made. Wear some comfy shoes because traveling through time is not an easy trek. What: P.A.T.H. Nexus Night – Unveiling the P.A.T.H. Blend

What: Aiming for Zero Top Golf Tournament

Project Zero is a non-profit organization promoting adoption from the foster care system so that there are no more children waiting on families. Vanarky celebrates the growing van community of the Ozark area, and outside the area, with fun get-togethers that bring out the best people looking for adventure and new friends. On top of the beauty of hiking through the outdoors, there will be live music, craft beer and spirits, kickball tournaments, firepits (bring the ‘mallows) and food trucks. What: First Friday Holiday Market: Flannel and Frost

For Camden’s final First Friday gathering, the town is celebrating with a holiday market theme of “Flannel & Frost.” Full of local specialty vendors selling decor, jewelry, fresh goods and baked items, this market is the perfect segue into the holiday season. Thanksgiving, believe it or not, is right around the corner, and there’s nothing quite like homemade jellies and jams to put the family in the spirit of gratitude. Other food vendors that can be enjoyed the night of the market include authentic Mexican dishes, burgers, funnel cakes, kettle corn and more. What’s Cookin’ Restaurant is hosting a cut-throat cornhole tournament on Adams Avenue, and live music provided by local choirs and dance groups will be entertaining guests all evening. Downtown shopping will be open late, and be sure to stop by Hollis Evans Floral for November’s featured authors Lavana Kindle and Charles Strickland. It’s likely to be a bit chilly, or frosty if you will, so throw on your finest flannel and fall into local life.

Still out searching for stars? Make a trip to Village Creek State Park for a more educational approach to stargazing. The night will start out with a presentation on what can be seen in the night sky be that constellations, stars, satellites, UFOs etc. After the presentation, guests are invited to stargaze with the rangers through telescopes set up by the Memphis Astronomical Society. Enjoy the natural magic of the sky.

Good morrow! Aye, the Hot Springs Renaissance Faire is nearly here, and thou best be ready. All the lords and ladies and wenches and sirs are invited to feast upon the spectacle of the year. Dragons, live medieval combat, jousting and all the merriment your time traveling heart desires await on the Garland County Fairgrounds. Bring your coin pouch to dabble with over 80 merchants and 15 acts to know your sheaths off. A new addition to the faire, the Feast of Saint Hubertus, will feature a five-course medieval feast to send the knights home with a full stomach and a quenched thirst. Huzzah!

Up, up and away! The Petit Jeans Farmers’ Market is bringing back the balloons. All weather-dependent, of course, balloon launches and rides will take place each day this weekend. When you’re not in the sky, the merchants of the market will have all of their goodies on display and for sale. There’s a whole list of events for the weekend that the merchants have organized, so give it a read-through and plan out how you’re going to do it all. The largest vintage market in Central Arkansas is filling up the Conway Expo Center this weekend. Not 50, not 100 but over 250 booths with exhibitors will be spread out inside and under the covered pavilion featuring vintage to handmade creations and vintage-inspired home decor. Christmas decorating and gift-buying is a breeze with the help of all these vendors and their goods, and why not pick up a few things for yourself while you’re at it. Bella Rustina will also have food trucks, food items inside (fried pies, roasted candy and nuts, kettle corn) and more. A whole new world awaits you at the Little Rock Zoo. Under the light of the stars, see the animals brighter than they’ve ever been before. The Little Rock Zoo is introducing a new interactive light festival featuring thousands of silk-covered lanterns glowing in the likeness of the zoo’s beloved animals. This fully immersive experience is the first of its kind at the zoo and an opportunity to create new traditions for the winter season. $17 for zoo members, $20 for the general public and children under the age of three are admitted for free.
