If your weekend plans take you anywhere from I-40 to I-30 and Broadway or is involved in North Little Rock, you need to start planning an alternate route.

Arkansas Department of Transportation says in a press release that lane closures will begin Friday night May 21 at 10 p.m. and continue until Monday morning May 24 at 5 a.m on the westbound lanes between the I-40 interchange south to Broadway.  AHD has posted detour options.

With construction on the river bridge underway, there will be lane closures off and on. You can always find out more information at www.ardot.gov or the idrivearkansas app. The app is very helpful but also the Twitter account for the agency gives accurate updates to lane closures and accidents in the state.

ARDOT is also handling the situation on the Mississippi River bridge to Memphis that is now closed.
