Who else loves fresh produce during the hot summer months? The UA Little Rock Campus Garden will be hosting a vegetable farmstand on Thursday, Aug. 6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m,. or until they run out of vegetables.
While the produce at the farmstand is available at no cost, people are encouraged to make a donation or pay what they can.
The UA Little Rock Campus Garden has donated over 1,000 pounds of produce to local food pantries and community gardens this summer.
It also set up an online website for the early bird shoppers who want tomato plants, basil plants or locally-sourced honey from the bee hives. Orders can take place today (Aug. 5) and be picked up tomorrow.
All proceeds from the plant sale and farmstand will go to maintenance of the campus garden located at 3340 Fair Park Blvd in Little Rock.
Masks will be required and proper social distancing will be maintained.
